Estimates, not equipment selection

The website and the app calculate performance requirements from the values you enter and the stated assumptions. They do not select equipment, size electrical or gas supply or venting, or check code compliance. Results depend on your inputs, and real-world performance varies by model, fuel, temperature rise and installation.

Always verify the final equipment choice against manufacturer specifications, installation instructions, applicable codes and local requirements, and consult a qualified professional where required.

Using the website

The website and its calculators are provided free, as is, for personal and professional planning. We work to keep the content accurate and sourced, but we make no warranty that it is complete, current or error-free, and we are not liable for decisions made based on it, to the extent the law allows. Guide content may be quoted with a link back to the page.

The iPhone app

The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the standard EULA). These terms add information specific to this app and do not replace that agreement.

Lifetime Pro

Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms, including its refund policy. Restore a purchase from Settings → Restore Purchases in the app while signed in with the same Apple Account. Basic tank and tankless sizing remains free.

Privacy

Neither the website nor the app collects personal data. See the privacy policy.
